Outreach and Engagement Manager at The Brokerage
Step out of your comfort zone, even if it might feel terrifying and uncomfortable because on the other side is freedom and bliss.
Working at The Brokerage, a social mobility charity connecting young people from less advantaged backgrounds to opportunities in the financial and professional related services, including Banking, Corporate and Insurance. As the Outreach and Engagement Manager, my role involves engaging with schools and corporate partners to attract young people into the sector.
Spent the past 10 years working in talent development and attraction, working with some of the leading organisations and academic institutions to attract, engage and develop early talents from diverse backgrounds, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups. Trained and coached over 3,000 students and graduates to develop their employability and leadership skills. Projects and clients that I've worked with includes, The Civil Service Fast Stream diversity talent attraction and coaching programme; Unlocked Graduates; De Montfort University and Middlesex University Student Leadership Programme.
Having worked directly with thousands of students and graduates over the years, I believe it is vital that young people have access to the right information to help them make an informed decision about the future. This is what Connect Mentors makes available to young people, empowering them to face the future with confidence through learning from professionals that have walked in the shoes the mentees are about to walk in.
I am interested in working with a mentee that is committed, has a positive attitude with a willingness to learn. I am also interested in mentoring graduates or a mentee that is at the early stages of their career. Also as a Graduate Assessment Centre Assessor, I can offer expertise and support in graduate programmes application process, including online test, video interview coaching, and assessment centre.
