My Roles and Responsibilities
I work in the UK Specialty area, which underwrites personal and commercial insurance policies sold in the UK by our distribution partners (which we call coverholders). As Deputy Head of the team my role is to help develop and implement our strategy, and ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible.
Experience
Although unintentional, I have always worked within the insurance industry. I started off as a London-based broker with HSBC and then moved into regional broking, predominantly in COO and MD roles. More recently I have moved into 'underwriting' with Canopius, which has provided me with a totally different persprective on the industry (there is more to insurance than you think!)
